Mission Statement

It is the mission of Safe Passage to reduce and/or prevent domestic violence and sexual assault in DeKalb County. This will be accomplished in the following ways:

  • providing immediate safety, supportive services and transitional assistance to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault;
  • providing responsible, appropriate, and effective services to perpetrators of violence;
  • promoting community awareness of the causes and effects of domestic violence and sexual assault;
  • effecting changes in the laws and practices that perpetuate domestic violence and sexual assault.

Our annual fundraiser, Evening of Chocolate is Saturday, February 28th. Please click the events button for more information. (Events link is in the upper right hand corner.)


We are offering a 20-hour training for those interested in working with domestic violence offenders on March 9th (8am-5pm); 10th (8am-5pm); and 12th (12:30pm-4:30pm). The cost for this training is $125 per person. Training will be held in DeKalb at the DeKalb Police Department.
