Nia joined Safe Passage in 2022 after working as a freelance journalist and copywriter for over ten years. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Oregon University and she is currently finishing up her MA in Communication Studies at Northern Illinois University. For the past two years, Nia has been a public speaking instructor and a public relations teaching assistant as part of her graduate assistantship. Nia is very excited to join Safe Passage and has previously volunteered in the prevention program for Our VOICE NC, a sexual assault crisis center in Asheville, North Carolina.
