“Safe Bar:” Bar & Restaurant Sexual Assault Prevention Training
Get your bar or restaurant “Safe Bar” trained. Safe Bar helps serving establishments create safe, welcoming, and respectful enviornments for their customers and staff.
Half of all sexual assaults involve alcohol consumption by the perpetrator, the target, or both, making bars and restaurants an interagal part of addressing sexual violence. Though alcohol use and sexual assault frequently happen together, alcohol doesn’t cause sexual assault. Given the relationship between alcohol and sexual assault, it’s critical that we build a space in bars, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, clubs, and more, that doesn’t tolerate harassment or assault.
Bars and Restaurants are required to provide an annual sexual harassment prevention training to employees.
