June is Pride Month – an entire month dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQIA+ voices, celebration of LGBTQIA+  culture and the support of LGBTQIA+ rights. At Safe Passage, we know rates of domestic violence and sexual assault are higher in the LGBTQIA+ community due to the discrimination LGBTQIA+ individuals still experience in our society. This is one reason Safe Passage believes it’s so important to fight for equality & equity for LGBTQIA+ individuals and affirm the right of ALL to safe and healthy relationships.

DeKalb Pride Event

• What: Join Safe Passage for a free Pride event complete with a Pride March, movie, and discussion.
• When: Friday, June 18^th at the Egyptian Theatre (135 N 2nd St, DeKalb).
  • Doors open at 6:00 PM
  • Pride March begins at 6:30 PM
  • Love, Simon begins at 7:00 PM
