Join Safe Passage for a live, virtual streaming concert event on April 30th! After hearing from Safe Passage staff and learning about Swept Under the Rug, we’ll be joined by musicians Ann Schaffer and Mark Walters.
Ann Schaffer has played music in Chicago and Los Angeles, playing in a jazz trio and composing songs for “Aurora”, an Equity-produced play in Chicago. Ann’s influences include musicians like Liz Phair and Nina Simone and the stories of authors like Tennessee Williams, Thomas Wolfe, and Dostoyevsky. Her album “Pink Motel by the Seashore” with drummer and bass player Greg Fundis, Alex Austin, and Rollin Weary, was co-produced by Fareed Haque. Ann’s upcoming release, also produced by Fareed Haque and Rollin Weary, is coming soon!
Mark Walters, also known as Kram Sretlaw, is a singer and songwriter from DeKalb. He recently released a new album titled “Paralysis by Analysis.”
