Residential– Our residential team provides a safe and confidential space for survivors of domestic and sexual violence to begin healing and rebuilding their lives. More than just shelter, the program offers a supportive environment where individuals and their families can find stability, safety, and hope during a critical time.

Jordy, Residential Case Manager states, “It takes a special group of people to make shelter work because its never the same place twice. Some days, it’s crises left and right and all kinds of wild stories in our ears. Other days, you’re chilling with the clients in an activity, deep conversation, or task. You can go from raw, vulnerable crisis calls from someone escaping lethal forms of abuse to learning what the 6-7 meme is from a middle schooler in the span of an hour. But that’s the fun in it– welcoming people in, watching them join the shelter environment, and getting to be a part of just a tiny but pivotal part of their lives. We all get that special story that sticks with us because of it and that’s one of the most interesting and fun parts of this job.”

Residents receive 24/7 support from trained staff members, along with access to essential resources such as safety planning, case management, counseling, and more. The program is designed to meet each survivor where they are, honoring their choices and empowering them to move forward at their own pace. By addressing both immediate and long-term goals, Safe Passage’s Residential Program helps survivors take meaningful steps toward independence, security, and a future free from violence. Every day, this program serves as a lifeline, offering reassurance that no one has to face abuse alone.
